oh little blog

This is a door in my house that I painted this week. If you know me you know that I can't stand for a plain whit wall. Well I guess the same goes for white doors. I've got plans for all the doors in the house. I also have a half finished mermaid door for the girl's room that I hope to finish this week. It may be a bit much for most people but luckily I don't have to worry about most people living in my house. Just us 5 lovers of color.
Here are a few napkins I made yesterday. We are officially going on our 3rd week of being paper free in the kitchen. I am not a hippy dippy person by any means but seeing all that waste and money down the drain really tugged at my heart strings, mostly the money but anyways. Cloth napkins, I used a really pretty sheet set I got on sale for 7$, some fat quarters which you can pick up at any fabric store for 1-2$ in a wide variety of patterns and colors and my lovely friend Sid scored a bundle of bar towels for me. I am still getting the hang of it but I am going to have the prettiest little dang towels this side of the french countryside.
I had a bunch of beads left over from other projects and I didn't want to sort them back out into there little containers so I made a crazy bracelet instead. People have been telling me I need to start selling my stuff but I haven't made anything yet that I don't want to keep and wear ALL the time. I'm not tutting my horn here or anything I just have a weirdo sense of what I like in jewelry and trying to buy it costs a bundle so I make it. Again like my house it is not for everyone and I'm fine with that.
Take this for example. I don't know too many people who would wear it but I sure as hell will. I made this on......friday. I'm getting faster which is exciting!
I made this sat. I don't know what the beads are. Some sort of stone. It didn't say when I bought them but they are definitly not plastic. I watched Frida again recently and aside form being obscenely inspiring I have alwasy noticed her necklaces and wanted one. Again looking for one of these cost money....I made this one for around 5 bucks. My Frida necklace...I love it.

Aside from that I have been cooking as well of course and taking photos but my heart is in the crafting season. The girls are fantastic and crazy as usual. Their room is a disaster.....theres a project, that I need some major organizational help with. Anyone????
I have been working alot, Sean's been working alot. He just got a great review, that review could be on fire it was so hot but did he get his raise? NO!
